Kinetic Sand is formulated with a unique Silicone oil, this makes the product almost glue together when connected grain by grain. As a first time users of Kinetic Sand, we were really impressed. All the rumours were true and went beyond expectation. The set was amazing, our little one (aged 2) received the gift for Christmas and still 4 months on its always the first thing he asks for in the morning. The wrecking ball is so much fun, even for an adult. Simply build a sandcastle-like structure and use the mechanism to smash your build down. The provided dump truck comes with a handy feature called the brick moulds. This is basically a trend that play doh introduced so when you cram the sand down into the truck a brick like structure is produced. The case itself is very hard wearing, having dropped the item on many occasions there was not even a scratch. One downfall we found is that the construction set could contain more sand, 2lbs isn’t enough. This being said the expansion packs come for as little as £5 on Amazon so it won’t really break the bank.

If you have a youngster in your household who loves building and equally wrecking things this is a no brainier. As an adult you will feel at ease when it comes to clean up time as the Kinetic Sand Construction set is a much needed tidier alternative to real sand.
