Butane Kitchen Blowtorch Review
If you're looking to be at one with nature this summer, then a butane blowtorch should come in handy when outdoors. This popular tool is used for a variety of tasks, including melting cheese, starting campfires, and even soldering. Want to demonstrate your culinary skills? Why not use this product as a starting point to harness your inner Gordan Ramsay and make that 5-star crème brûlée at home?
With so many butane torches available on the market, we decided to try a value-for-money product, which is sold on Amazon for between £8 and £12.99.
The product description most retailers would show you is along these lines:
True one-handed operation: truly operate with one hand!
The flame regulator and flame lock button are within reach of your thumb, enabling you to easily adjust and lock the flame with only one hand.
Our experience
The torch appears to be well-made and clearly not as inexpensive as the asking price would imply. The butane torch has a clear Max line that indicates where to fill the gas and a visible fuel indicator on the bottom that lets you see how much gas is left at any moment. This product has a 50-minute runtime on a full tank under steady use, according to its marketer. We can verify that these numbers are correct. No gas was included with the purchase, so we had to make a quick trip to our local supermarket to pick up some standard lighter fluid. Usually, the Swan brand fluid will be easy to find across multiple stores. We discovered that the torch was straightforward to fill, and thanks to the side-mounted glass tank, we could always see exactly how much gas was left in the system. One issue we did stumble across was that there wasn't a powerful yellow or orange flame, only blue, which the human eye struggles to see in certain light conditions at times. The blowtorch's side-mounted lock was crucial since it allowed you to use safe precautions while there were children nearby. We first purchased this item to help us quickly ignite our coal-fired Ooni pizza oven, and we can confirm that it serves this duty well. The blowtorch can be used for a variety of additional tasks, including melting cheese on top of your homemade foods, igniting difficult-to-reach candles, and even joining metal. The device is still functioning well after three months of use and numerous pizza parties, so you can't really complain about the value pricing of a little over £9.

ALL IN ALL
The butane kitchen blowtorch is 100% worth its value. With many uses this product should not be overlooked if your in the market for a handy mini blowtorch. The lock system needs work for example we believe it misses a lock which hold rather than having to keep your hand on the button. We would purchase again if ever lost or stolen simply because it has uses within in and out the household.
