We visited the Plymouth branch and booked the party package for our son's birthday. For £13 a head this particular option was a sensational deal and hard to pass up on.
What’s included?
You really get your moneys worth for the birthday option. Not only do the children get an hours game play in the laser tag arena also included is a selection of pizzas (margarita or pepperoni) for each individual and unlimited refreshments. The birthday host receives a signature bowling pin as a complimentary gift for all the guests to sign as a souvenir. Also included is a free t shirt and what I call a P.E tie bag for the birthday host. If that’s still not enough each child receives a free chocolate bar.
To book, all that is required is to ring the tenpin hotline and state what branch you’d like to visit. They will ask for a small deposit which the remainder can be paid on the actual day. We took 9 children so overall the total cost was £117 now this may sound steep but if you factor in what you get its totally worth it rather than doing the same old, booking out a hall having a bouncy castle Malaki. The Plymouth branch like most ten pin arenas stages a huuuuge arcade to entertain guests whilst you wait for your table. When the party host collects you there is 4 tables big enough for 10 children to gather around. Refreshments are swiftly brought over and the party begins. We recommend taking out money before hand for all other attractions in the venue as withdrawing from the machine require a £1.85 charge.
How is the laser tag?
Pew Pew Pew. How it all kicks off is the instructor takes the whole party (not including adults) into a large room adjacent to the bowling lanes. They then give the youngsters a quick 15 minute lesson on how to use the equipment and explain all the rules of the game. Swiftly after the game begins; the idea of the game is to shoot the other teams target without being lasered yourself. After game 1 the children then return to the seating area for a brief break to refuel on some much needed H2O or orange squash. After the half time break they then return for round two. After the second game and all that energy has been burnt off they return to seating area for the final time where the pizzas are sharply brought to the table. If you get a fun host then the pizzas will be named with a quirky word before the child’s name for example silly Seth lol. Luckily for the parents on site there is a bar located just behind the Sector 7 holding area. If your into your sport the venue boasts plenty of televisions showing the current live games.

ALL IN ALL
Is it worth going again?
All the children were raving about how much fun they had so there is definitely a desire to re visit. Its obviously best to enter with a big group rather than just duos. Its as if it brings the dreaded Fortnite to real life.
